Whats the best thing to do when doing a 347 Stroker to a 5.0 Mustang? Ok, from top to bottom to the engine. My goal is to have 350-400 horsepower with all the mods. What intake, heads, stroker kit its self, cams, and headers are best to make this power. Also, will I have to do any computer work as well? and if so, how will I be able to do that, and whats a good tuner with good tunes. Also, any recomended transmissions to support 375hp would be very helpful. I would like an automatic, but manual would be great as well.

Put an AFR 165 cylinder head on it. Watch your runner length on the intake manifold or your long runner intake will make for something that quits early and hence not make any HP. Short runner intakes make power upstairs, but unless you feed it a steep ramp camshaft with some worked over lifters, the valve train will never open the door for a short runner intake to shine upstairs. A 347 is a short rod to stroke ratio engine. Therefore, it's not really a very high rpm stable engine, it's octane sensitive, it has large induction and cam requirements to make power upstairs and can become pretty explosive in terms of the power curve, if you are not careful. I would focus on making power to 6,000 if you want a long reliable life out of it. After you have a piston, mock it up and then zero deck the block so the piston is out of the hole at TDC by .010. Use a std Fel Pro head gasket and it will FLY with minimum timing and have less octane demand as well. It's also Detonation control 101. For starters, use a stroker kit that doesn't put rings that are located where the wrist pins are(will burn oil prematurely). I bought my 408 kit from mustang depot. I would step up to 24lb injectors. I would go with a trick flow series 'R' upper/lower intake. Long tube headers will work good. Heads- Trick flow makes good flowing heads. Use 1.7 rockers. You can build your own AOD with parts from TRANSTAR on the web. Go with blue frictions and kolene steels, and use an updated 8 pack direct clutch. They can answer any transmission questions you may have, and carry the lip seal protectors/tools to build one. It is a very easy transmission to go through. It was my very first transmission that I built. Use mercon v and forget that expensive trick shift stuff. lets start at sump enlarged baffled sump yes you will need a after market computer (motec or link) as the eec does take to changes well. heads trick flow or air flow research or gt40 just not if your on a budget. crane do good cams edlbrock does good intakes headers what ever takes your fancy. trans the venrable c4 with 2000 stall converter or aod auto or a tremec 5 speed (top loader plus one) I would start with a short block from Woody at Fordstrokers.com. They have a fantastic product and great customer support. I would run trick flow or canfields if you can find some. I would run a custom ground cam from Cam Motion, Bullet, etc (well worth the money) Then listen to what the builders (engine,cam grinder) recommend as far as intake and exhaust. Don't spend money on cheap heads (GT40, pro comp) a 347 will run out of breath way too soon without a good head, then you will get spanked by a good headed 302. Save up, do it once and do it right.

You may have heard that the fuel filter on a 2005 KIA Sorento is a permanent filter, and that you don't have to worry about it unless you have a problem. This is not true; replacing your fuel filter is a very important part of the routine maintenance of your car, and extends the life of your Sorento. It's recommended to replace the fuel filter every two years or 24,000 miles.

Replacement fuel filter

Step by Step :

Park your car in the shade, turn it off, lift the hood and let it cool off for at least 15 minutes. Extinguish cigarettes or other lit objects because these may start a fire.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to take off the plastic covering on top of the engine and look for the fuel line. It is a thin, long tube that runs to the fuel tank and connects to the fuel filter with a little clamp.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to pry the clamp off, and then immediately stick a pencil into the end of the fuel line to stop it up and prevent gas from dripping out.

Locate the bolts that hold the fuel filter in place. Find a socket that fits the bolts, loosen them and take off the filter. Remove the hose coming out of the other end of the filter just like you removed the fuel line in Step 2. Plug it up with another pencil.

Position the replacement filter the same way the old filter was positioned, so the fuel will flow in the correct direction through the filter.

Locate the two plastic shafts coming out of each end of the filter where you attach the hoses. When you reattach the hoses, push the hoses as far as possible into the plastic shafts. Reattach the hoses in reverse order you took them off in Steps 2 and 4.

Check that all reassembled hoses and clips are tight and secure. Turn on your car and run the engine for 2 to 3 minutes. Look at the connections and hoses around the fuel filter and check that no fuel leaks out.
Tips & Warnings
If you notice that the hoses running into and out from your fuel filter are getting frayed or brittle, buy new hoses and replace them next time you change your fuel filter.

Step by Step :

Unscrew the gas cap from the gas tank to relieve the fuel pressure from the fuel filter.

Locate the fuel filter under the driver side of the truck. The fuel filter will be in a round bracket that is running inside of the frame rail on the driver side between the gas tank and the cab of the truck.

Slide the catch pan under the fuel filter and remove the screw on line on the inlet side of the fuel filter. Remove this line with an open-end wrench. Let the excess fuel run into the catch pan.

Remove the fuel line from the outlet port of the fuel filter. This line can be removed by squeezing the plastic clips on the front of the fuel line together. Once you squeeze the plastic clips together, the fuel line will unlock from the outlet port of the fuel filter. Then pull the fuel line straight off of the outlet fuel port and let the excess fuel run into the catch pan.

Remove the clamp that is holding the fuel filter in place with a regular flat head screwdriver. Turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen the bracket. Then slide the fuel filter out of the bracket and discard it into the catch pan.

Slide the new fuel filter into the bracket with the flow arrow on the fuel filter pointing toward the engine. Tighten the clamp back down across the fuel filter.

Screw the inlet fuel line onto the fuel filter with an open-end wrench. Tighten the fuel line down tightly.

Slide the outlet fuel line onto the fuel filter until you feel the plastic clips lock in place. Gently pull back on the fuel line to ensure that the line is locked in place.

Screw the gas cap back on the gas tank. Turn the ignition key on and off three times to prime the fuel filter with fuel. Crank the engine.

Inspect the fuel filter and fuel lines for leaks while the engine is running. Then shut the engine off.
